Last weekend saw the third round of the BSB championship take palce at the Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk, where again riders using K-Tech DDS products had great results. Shakey Byrne (Rapid Solicitors / PBM Kawasaki) dominated the superbike class all weekend taking pole position in qualifying on the Saturday afternoon with a lap time under the circuit lap record and took both race wins on the Sunday to maintain his lead in the championship.
There were also good results for riders using DDS products in other classes. Graham Gowland (Smiths Racing Triumph) took both Supersport race wins along with a new lap record in race one while Alex Olsen (Power projects Racing Triumph) took the race win in the Supersport Evo class second 'feature' race.
In the shortened six lap re run Superstock 1000cc race, Danny Buchan (Tsingtao Kawasaki) finished second with Filip Backlund (SMT Kawasaki) taking third. In the Superstock 600cc race all three podium finishers were using K-Tech product, with Kyle Ryde (PacedayZ Trackdays Yamaha) taking the top step.
During the six week break of the BSB series our Technical Support vehicle attended the two big international road race meetings, the Northwest 200 in Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man TT races to support customers using K-Tech products.
At the Northwest 200 event Alistair Seeley (Martrain Racing), Lee Johnston (East Coast/Pirtek Racing), Bruce Anstey (Valvoline Racing by Padgetts) and Michael Dunlop (MD Racing) shared six of the eight race wins between them using K-Tech DDS products.
The TT saw similar results with Gary Johnson (Smiths Racing Triumph) taking the Supersport race one win and Michael Dunlop (MD Racing BMW) the Superstock 1000cc win. Connor Cummins (Honda Racing) had podium finishes in the Dainese Superbike race and the Pokerstars Senior TT race with Bruce Anstey (Valvoline Racing by Padgetts) taking three podium finishes, one in each of the Supersport races and one in the Superstock 1000cc race. Bruce also took a fourth place finish in Dainese Superbike race and a new lap record of 132.298 mph using K-Tech DDS product. The other podium finisher using K-Tech products was James Hiller (Quattro Plant / Muc Off Kawasaki) who finished second in the Bikenation Lightweight TT.
