At the weekend the 2014 Backflips / KTM NZ Junior Champs were held at Waipuna Station on the West Coast of the South Island. The Number 1 Board in the 13-16 years 85cc Class went to Wyatt Chase on his Yamaha YZ85. The Number 1 Board in the 12-14 years 125cc class went to Reece Walker on his YZ125, and the Number 1 Board in the 14-16 years 250cc class went to Cohen Chase on his YZ250F. Our Congratulations to these Champions, and to all of the competitors at the event.
The Chase brothers' machines had their suspension prepared by Dukic Performance using K-tech MX settings and parts. Since changing to K-Tech products and settings, both riders have commented about how well their bikes work everywhere, regardless of terrain. The weekends racing was no exception given the testing conditions of the track that saw many riders struggle with set up. Reece Walker had his bike prepared by MotoTech in Motueka, K-Tech Dealers and Service Agents.
