K-Tech Suspension had a testing weekend at round five of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Knockhill. With the varied weather conditions over the weekend it was essential for the K-Tech crew to provide the teams with the correct setup and it pulled off as they gained 17 podiums, including 7 race wins.
Once again Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne was on fire despite a crash during qualifying on Saturday, the reigning British Superbike Champion took another double win at the small 1.2 mile Scottish Circuit. He won both races by 0.4 from his fellow K-Tech PBM Kawasaki team-mate Stuart Easton and now has a 38-point lead in the Championship from Josh Brookes.
In the Motorpoint British Supersport race K-Tech supported riders Glenn Irwin and Kyle Ryde took one win each with Glenn Irwin now leading the Championship by one point from Kyle Ryde, In the Supersport Evo class Matt Paulo took his first win of the season in race one with Marshall Neill finishing second in race two.
Josh Elliott took another win in the fiercely competitive Superstock 1000 class, his third of the season with team mate Jon Ingram finishing in third place. In the Superstock 600 class Andrew Irwin gained his first podium of the season with a strong second place.
